Technical Profile / Your Duties:
- Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team across all projects (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems), ensuring designs meet both client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of design deliverables across all project stages: concept, schematic, detailed design, and IFC submissions.
- Review and validate mechanical calculations, system designs, equipment selections, layouts, and specifications in alignment with local and international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, SBC, etc.).
- Ensure high-level coordination between mechanical systems and other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical) to deliver fully integrated design packages.
- Implement and enforce Ldp+Partners’ quality standards, project workflows, and documentation procedures across all mechanical design outputs.
- Promote the effective use of BIM tools and digital workflows within the department to enhance accuracy, integration, and productivity.
- Provide leadership in internal technical meetings, mentorship to junior engineers, and technical oversight for complex engineering challenges.
- Conduct value engineering assessments and propose technical alternatives to enhance system performance and optimize cost efficiency.
- Represent the mechanical department in client meetings, technical reviews, and site coordination to ensure design intent is upheld.
- Lead the review of shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and supervise on-site execution when needed.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry developments and ensure continuous knowledge transfer to the department.
- Support proposal development and resource planning for new business opportunities and ongoing project needs.
Who We Are Looking For?
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of +15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or departmental management role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design standards and systems.
- Extensive experience in multidisciplinary project environments, preferably in hospitality, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
- Proficiency in design software and tools: AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Elite, and other MEP simulation tools.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English is preferred.
